Welcome to Horsell Bowling Club
The Peter Shrubb Pavilion, Queen Elizabeth Gardens, High Street, Horsell, Surrey, GU21 4SS
Horsell Bowling Club has been a part of the Horsell community since 1920. [See History page for more details.]
The Club prides itself on its warm and friendly atmosphere and is in the fortunate position of having a growing membership.
We have both Men's and Women's sections although many competitions and games are mixed.
We always look forward to welcoming new people of any age or ability, including Juniors.
We play lawn bowls from mid-April to the end of September with friendly and league matches against other clubs in the area.
We also have a Club Night for members every Friday during the season as well as social activities throughout the year.
Open Day 2019
We hold an Open Event every year, hoping to attract new people to the sport and thanks to widespread television coverage it is no longer considered to be "Old Men's Marbles".
This year our Open Day will be held on Saturday 13th April 2019. Please arrive anytime between 9.45 am and 11.30 a.m.
This is the ideal time for
novice and experienced bowlers to try out their bowling skills.
Come along to
meet our six qualified coaches, play bowls, have a chat and a coffee and see
how you get on.
We will supply all equipment. Please just wear flat shoes and turn up - we looking forward to seeing you.
If you would just like to have a "taster session" please come along to one of our Friday Club Nights at 6.15 p.m.
Friday evening is Club Night when members gather at the Pavilion from 5.45 p.m. onwards to play in friendly games or enjoy a drink and chat with friends.
Bowlers to sign in at 5.45 p.m. for a 6.00 p.m. early start or for the later session please sign in at 6.15 p.m. for a 6.30 p.m. start.
We are always pleased to welcome visitors who would like a bowling "taster session" with one of our coaches.
