Horsell Bowling Club has been a part of the Horsell
community since 1920. [See History page for more details.]
The Club prides itself on its warm and friendly atmosphere and
is in the fortunate position of having a growing membership. We have both Men's and Women's sections although many competitions and games
are mixed. We always look forward to welcoming new people of any age or ability, including
Juniors.
We play lawn bowls from mid-April to the end of September
with friendly and league matches against other clubs in the area. We also have a Club Night for members every Friday during the season as well as
social activities throughout the year.
We hold an Open Event every year,
hoping to attract new people to the sport and thanks to widespread television
coverage it is no longer considered to be "Old Men's Marbles". This is
the ideal time for novice and experienced bowlers to try out their bowling
skills. Come along to meet our qualified coaches, play bowls, have
a chat and see how you get on. We will supply all equipment. Please just
wear flat soled shoes (trainers are acceptable) and phone John Bishop (as
below) to book a place - we looking forward to seeing you.
Alternatively, if you would just like to have a "taster
session" which we hold during our regular Friday Club Nights at
18:15, please contact Roger Tapley (01483 767162 or rogertapley24@gmail.com)
to book a session.

please sign in at 18:15 for a 18::30 start.
We are always pleased to welcome visitors who would like a bowling "taster
session" with one of our coaches.
