Horsell Bowling Club has been a part of the Horsell
community since 1920. [See History page for more details.]
The Club prides itself on its warm and friendly atmosphere and
is in the fortunate position of having a growing membership. We have both Men's and Women's sections although many competitions and games
are mixed. We always look forward to welcoming new people of any age or ability, including
We play lawn bowls from mid-April to the end of September
with friendly and league matches against other clubs in the area. We also have a Club Night for members every Friday during the season as well as
social activities throughout the year.
Open Day 2021
We hold an Open Event every year, hoping to attract new people to the sport and
thanks to widespread television coverage it is no longer considered to be "Old Men's Marbles".
This year our Open Day will be held on Saturday 17th April 2021. Please arrive anytime between 09:45 and
11:30. There are a number of Government restriction which
will be applied on the day.
This is the ideal time for novice and experienced bowlers to
try out their bowling skills.
Come along to meet our qualified coaches, play bowls, have a chat and see how you get on.
We will supply all equipment. Please just wear
flat shoes (trainers are acceptable) and turn up - we looking forward to seeing

come along to one of our Friday Club Nights at 18::15. Please call John Bishop to book a session.
Club Nights (Subject to Government restriction)
Friday evening is Club Night when members gather at the Pavilion from
17:45. onwards to play in friendly games or enjoy a drink and chat with
friends. Bowlers to sign in at 17:45. for a 18:00 early start or for the later session
please sign in at 18:15 for a 18::30 start.
We are always pleased to welcome visitors who would like a bowling "taster
session" with one of our coaches.

The clubhouse with bar and full kitchen facilities is
available for private hire. [See Hall Hire page for more details.] (Subject to Government restrictions)
There is limited parking at Horsell Bowling Club.
Bowlers are not permitted to park at the Village Hall, Crown Pub Car Park or Red Lion Car Park.
